I know. I can explain.
I quit my job. I also landed a new and better job 4 days later. I swear my life is one big sitcom.
That’s why I’ve been so silent. My last job, to put it lightly, was a toxic relationship. A few weeks in and I realized that my environment was only going to get worse. So I left. I quit with no job lined up, but let me tell you. Walking out of the building sort of felt like Angela Basset walking away from that burning car – I felt like a badass. Yes, it was a financially irresponsible decision. I remember having a mini panic attack that weekend because for the first time in years, I was jobless.
Then my current job, my dream job (social media for restaurants), fell into my lap out of thin air. Four days later, I interviewed and landed the position on the spot. I can’t express how happy I am, and how relieved that everything fell into place. And since everything is going so well, I took the next step to take back full control of my happiness- I joined Equinox.
Membership is a pretty penny, but I’ve gone every day since I joined and can honestly say that it’s worth it. I’ve taken a class every day so far and already feel better in these past few days than I have in the last few months. Working out and showering in Equinox’s famed showers have become something I look forward to. I mean, all their bathroom products are Kiehl’s. I might turn my experience with the Club into a series of posts, not sure yet.
I’m finally finding my balance, and am working on creating more content for the blog once that I’ve made it over the ‘new job’ hump. It’s easy to become disillusioned with Instagram, especially since I use it every day for work. So I’m also keeping myself inspired by using Instagram’s ‘Save’ option. It’s a great way to save content and I have to admit, my Saved page looks a lot better than my current feed.
Well, that’s what I’ve been up to. Excuse the silence, you’ll be hearing a lot more from me very soon. Til then!
